Tim Blaylock has over 27 years of experience in Boys & Girls Club leadership, management, and implementing youth development strategies. After earning a degree in education, he worked at Washington State University for five years and then the World Corporate Games for two years. He transitioned his enthusiasm for young people, education, sports and recreation to Boys & Girls Club in Washington State which he led for over 12 years. He then relocated and helmed the Boys & Girls Club of Oxnard for over 10 years. He has dedicated his career to helping youth develop socially and academically, and continues this commitment within the BGCA movement at our Club. As a leader, he realizes our vision by inspiring and investing in his professional staff, and enlisting caring and committed volunteers toward a shared goal and hope for building great futures for kids.



His recognitions include:

Chief Operating Officer

Kelsy Maruyama, Vice President, first began working for the Club in 1995 as an Education Coordinator and has worked in various positions at the Club.

In January 2007 Kelsy became the Vice President and has since contributed to the growth and success of the Club. She received her BA in Kinesiology from CSUN in June 1997 and has attended several BGCA trainings and seminars in human resources and executive management.

Kelsy is a long standing member of the BGCA Professional Association and currently serves on the board as the Treasurer for the Sierra Madre Chapter. She has two boys who attend the Boys & Girls Club and she is very involved in their lives. Kelsy is very passionate about youth and is active in the community as she also volunteers her time as the President of her son’s baseball league.

Director of Program Services

Liliana Lozano, College Bound Director, started working at the Club in August 2009 as an English Tutor at Canoga Park High School.

Soon after, she was promoted to Site Coordinator and in August 2011 she became the College Bound Coordinator. In 2012 she was promoted to College Bound Director and has led in the development of the program ever since.

Under her leadership, our College Bound program has gone from serving 12 high school students at Canoga Park High School to serving more than 1,481 at our seven sites.

Liliana is responsible for the development of the Elementary, Middle, and High School curriculum, providing support to the College Bound Team, maintaining relationships with school administration and community organizations, growing our parent engagement and expanding the College Bound Alumni Association.

She has a BA in English Literature and Spanish Literature from UCLA and is in the process of applying to Masters Programs in College Counseling and Student Services.

Branch/Operations Director

Ruben Rodriguez, Branch/Operations Manager, began working at the Club in 1996 as the Athletic Coordinator and was later promoted to Program Director in 1998.

His responsibilities include directing and managing the overall daily operations of the Main Site, supervising and training of staff, facility management, community relations, transportation operations, and membership administration.

Ruben is a very talented baseball coach and has managed several championship travel baseball teams since 1998. Many of the players he has coached are now impact players for the minor league, college, and high school teams who have gone on to Dodger Stadium for D1 Championships.

His goal is to provide resources and opportunities for all youth to become productive and caring citizens.

Amber Denike
Director of Administration

As a mother, Amber Denike, Director of Administration, spends her weekends adventuring with her four-year-old as much as possible. When she isn’t chasing her son around, Amber continues to pursue additional degrees at the University of Phoenix. She attended the Boys & Girls Club in Santa Clarita as a teen and has always wanted to be a part of the Movement. With a combination of over 10 years of experience in Finance Management, Human Resources, and Accounting, she looks forward to continuously contributing to the growth of the Club in the future.





Director of Individual & Corporate Giving

Kelly Ventimiglia is the Director of Individual & Corporate Giving. Kelly has over 17 years in the Boys & Girls Club movement and her primary focus has been on raising funds through Individual and Major Gift Strategies, Capital and Annual Campaigns, Corporate Giving, Planned Giving, Grantsmanship, as well as leading high-profile special events and donor recognition events. Kelly has presented at BCGA conferences and areas Clubs, facilitating trainings which include: Fundraising, Stewardship, Program Design and Implementation, and Volunteerism. Kelly is member of the BGCA Professional Association, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She holds Bachelor of Science in Communication, and a Certificate in Organizational Leadership Communication. Kelly shares that as a veteran staff of Boys & Girls Club her passion for the movement only deepens over time. She shares she is continually moved by the enormous generosity shown by those who give their time, talent and resources in support of Boys & Girls Clubs. Kelly explains she has learned a great deal from many courageous and determined young people, and finds great reward in knowing that that every community can work together to ensure that youth are safe and have multiple avenues for success.
